What is the Color of the Year?

The world has changed within a couple of weeks since I started writing this blog. As a result, we are all spending more time in our homes than ever before. The colors we surround ourselves with are important and can have a huge impact our emotions, appetite, memory— and so much more! So, to answer the question, what is the Color of the Year? As you read through the blog, you’ll see there are many!

First Color of the Year

Did you know Pantone was the first to introduce the “color of the year” back in 2000? It was called Cerulean Blue, a medium grayish blue. Pantone is used in a variety of industries, such as—graphic design, fashion, product design and printing to manage colors from design to production.

Every year, since 2000, they’ve unveiled their color of the year from extensively following and examining global trends in human behavior, environment, art and technology that influence people’s lifestyles and environments.
