This is the second year our employees have donated items to make holiday meal kits – a Crystal food drive for families in need. The food drive was brainstormed and implemented by Crystal’s Donation Group.
“We are blown away by the generosity of the Crystal employees. There is such a willingness to help and all the departments worked together to make this a success. We plan to make this an annual event.” says Heather Osmondson, member of the Crystal Donation Group.
All Crystal teams are given a list of nonperishable holiday food items to fill the boxes, plus each box also receives a $25 gift card towards additional purchases (turkey, ham, etc). One box is intended to provide a meal for a family of 6-8 people. Crystal partners with local organizations to help get the meal kits to families in need.
A total of 83 meal boxes were filled this year! Beating last year’s 62 boxes. Thank you to all who participated in this amazing effort to help our community.
