Current’s Woods

Current offers 6 beautiful woods.The beauty of real wood, is its character. As wood ages it mellows, a coloration change due mostly to exposure to light. Different species as well as different pieces of the same species of wood mellow differently. Variation grain and color should be expected and is part of the natural beauty of wood. Many wood characteristics, specifically rustic cherry and knotty alder wood characteristics, are not represented in the swatches shown. We recommend you view a door sample in the wood, finish and style you are considering.

Current’s Finishes

Current’s Stains

The beauty of real wood deserves a hand-applied finish to bring out its finest character and color. Current cabinets are sanded, stained and hand-wiped to bring out the natural grain of the wood. A combination of sealer and conversion varnish topcoat achieves durability and long lasting beauty.

Highlight– You can choose to add Black or Brown highlight to several Current stains. Highlight is hand applied and will appear random from door to door. It wabsent in other areas, this is inherent of the hand-applied highlight application.

Wearing & Distressing– You can choose wearing, distressing or both on stains and Antique Ivory. Edges are sanded to look worn and small nicks and dents are hand applied to the wood surface.
